Tucked away and hidden in plain sight, objects appropriating  comfort and decor married with signifiers of forensic collection and privately sourced “protective services” depict a crime scene ten years later. It’s my house seeks to invite the willing viewer to witness emotionality and altered personhood as evidence of sexual violence and exploitative love. Dancer Julia Eichten navigates the spaces around and between these ideas and objects while dealing with the irreversible damage such violence brings to one’s home, one’s body, and one’s  identity.
